As a brand strategist and innovation advocate, Janey’s expertise for organisations in various sectors is in developing leadership potential through collaboratively working with key stakeholders, to develop excellence in strategic planning, change and innovation, and customer orientation. Janey’s dynamic and interactive style creates executive ownership and engagement through the application of various diagnostic tools and models. As a result, her clients experience positive cultural change through improved organizational communication, and customer centricity.
To develop Change Leadership skills and strategic thinking, Janey incorporates the Hermann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI), a registered quantitative psychometric self -awareness tool which enables ‘whole brain thinking’ in many applications: strategic planning, team building, change leadership, creative problem solving, communication and productivity. Janey’s leadership programs interweave the HBDI assessment tool to create awareness and shift mindsets in order to facilitate executive alignment to organisational goals.
Janey commenced consulting in 2006 after tenure at the Monash University Australian Centre for Retail Studies (ACRS) as a Program Director, capitalising on her extensive 20-year senior management experience in the commercial sector, both internationally and in Australia, in Strategic Brand Management and Marketing management for Global Brands.
Janey also consults as a Program Director to various Australian Institutes of Business, responsible for the content, creation and delivery of all Strategic Planning, Customer Orientation, and Change Management contextualised senior leadership development programs. Her public programs are attended by senior delegates from a host of large legal, banking, pharmaceutical and FMCG organisations, as well as from the retail and manufacturing sector.
Janey holds multiple qualifications, both academic and professional, under her belt. In addition to her undergraduate degree in law and graduate diploma in linguistics and semiotics, Janey also earned a Post Graduate Diploma of Marketing, where she majored in ‘Buyer Behaviour’. She is also a certified practitioner for HBDI, and applies the Whole Brain Thinking Model to improve organisational communication, innovation and positive cultural change.
As a result of her wealth of experience internationally and locally in Strategic Brand and Marketing Management and her application of Whole Brain Thinking to leadership development, Janey has the ability to link core leadership capabilities such as setting vision and strategy, driving innovation and creating a customer orientation, to organisational goals and business outcomes.
Janey is passionate about creating cultural shift from an organisation-centric approach to a customer-centric approach, and assisting organisations to understand their customers and external market trends, develop their brand positioning and align their business strategy, and processes accordingly.
